For 124 years PG Towns & Sons General Store has stood at one of the 4 corners of the village of Douro Ontario. Four generations of the Towns family have run the shop, from the day of trading eggs for store credit to creating savvy social media campaigns to stay relevant, the store has remained a vibrant part of the community. And, in the battle between ever expanding corporate superstores versus locally run family businesses, the question remains; what do we really value?
